Join us at Perch Eco Business Centre, Elmsbrook, Bicester for the inaugural Bicester Tech Meetup. Meet other local people working, or interested in, the tech industry. We'll have two 20-minute talks on the day and plenty of opportunity to network. Oh, and Pizza of course.

Talks:
Talk 1
Changing Lanes. Using open data for real world impact, with Pete Turner
Open data offers fantastic opportunities to guide local decision makers. In this talk, Pete describes how OpenStreetMap was used in a joint project between Bicester Bike Users Group and Oxfordshire County Council to develop an aspirational cycle network for the town. He then explains how the data is used to measure the plan against what's actually on the ground.

Talk 2
Using WebAssembly beyond the browser, with Raghav Narula
An exploration of what WebAssembly is and how it's breaking free from the browser's confines. This talk will explore how WebAssembly could impact diverse domains such as game development, server-side applications, and edge computing.

---
All are welcome and there is no requirement to have any level of tech knowledge or experience to attend, just a desire to learn. Come along (bring your friends), network and learn something new with us!
